One of Jaipur's well-known personalities in the world of marble carving is Mr Ghanshyam Agarwal, the founder of the Star Murti Museum (SMM). He began his journey with Shyam Baba's blessing and founded SMM on February 19, 1915, with a mere investment of 30,000 INR. Today SMM has a turnover in crores.
"Minimum margin, maximum turnover," Mr Agarwal says is his only success mantra. He doesn't differentiate between customers based on their purchasing power; to him, a customer who spends 1000 INR is just the same as somebody who spends 10 lakhs.
