Ms. Aparna Mittal is a Partner in the Corporate/M&A practice of Luthra & Luthra Law Offices, and has advised multinational and domestic clients on the most diverse, significant and complex headline M&A matters including cross border mergers & acquisitions, business/ asset transfers, joint ventures, private equity transactions, investment structuring, commercial contracts, franchises, and corporate advisory, each across diverse sectors such as health and pharma, insurance, media, hotels, hospitals, oil & gas, information technology, wholesale, retail, hydro power, automotive, services, real estate, mining, education, and food. Her work involves advising a wide array of multi-national clients on appropriate strategies in relation to investments in India, drafting and negotiating the entire gamut of definitive agreements and commercial contracts, and advising on various areas of law including regulatory aspects, employment and labour, franchise and distribution and general corporate advisory.

Her clients have included multinationals like Abbott Laboratories, Fendi International, Ingredion, Toshiba, AXA-SA, EL Rothschild, Petronas, Hilton International, Global Infrastructure Partners, Perot Systems, Allegis Group, F&C REIT Asset Management, Clinton Foundation, Guthy-Renker and key domestic players such as the Tata group, DLF Retail Brands, Essel/Zee group, PVR Limited and International Coal Ventures. Recently, she was lead advisor to Abbott Laboratories, in its USD 3.8 billion acquisition of Piramal Healthcare's domestic formulation business, which is slated to be one of the largest business transfers in the pharma sector in India. She also advised DLF Brands on joint ventures/collaborations with Giorgio Armani, Salvatore Ferragamo, Luxottica Group, Donna Karan International and Mothercare.

Armed with a B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) graduate degree (2005) from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, Aparna has several publications in national journals and business dailies to her credit. She has also attended the prestigious (six week) 45th Academy of American and International Law organised by the Center for American and International Law, Plano, Texas in 2008.
