Mr. Rituraj Sinha,
Group Chief Operating Officer, SIS India

Mr. Rituraj Sinha (32) is an alumnus of The Doon School and Leeds University Business School, UK. He joined SIS Group in 2002 after a stint in the Banking sector in United Kingdom.

Over the last decade, Rituraj has been instrumental in shaping the exponential growth of SIS from a 25 crore guarding company (2002) to a INR 2773 Crores (FY 2012 audited results) multinational in the security and business support services space.

A true entrepreneur at heart, Rituraj has been passionate about conceptualising and incubating new businesses. Over the years, he has successfully established independent subsidiaries of SIS group in Cash Management Services vertical (2005), Facility Management (2008), Skills & Vocational Training (2008) and Electronic Security (2010).

As Head of operations and strategy for the SIS group enterprises, Rituraj has also been the architect of game changing transactions. In 2007, he closed the first private equity investment transaction in security sector through a deal with DE Shaw (A top global hedge fund with over USD 25 Bn assets under management). He also received recognition for orchestrating the first cross border acquisition in the Indian security sector in 2008 when SIS group made the landmark acquisition of Australia’s largest private security company (USD 350 Mn in revenues).

Over the years, Rituraj has also built a reputation for himself in the global security and business support services industry by forging alliances and partnerships with global market leaders. In 2008, he initiated a strategic alliance with ServiceMaster Corporation, USA (USD 5 Billion FM market leader) for SIS’s foray in facility management. In 2011, SIS’s Joint Venture with PROSEGUR, Spain (World’s second largest security company by market capitalisation) for Cash Logistics operations in India and most recently, the Joint Venture with TERMINIX, USA (World’s largest pest control company) for a Pest Control services play in the country. Earlier this year, Rituraj was also in news for closing the largest private equity investment in the security sector in India through the INR 500 Crore deal with CX Partners. The deal also marked the first successful exit by a private equity fund from Indian security sector – DE Shaw India registered SIS as its most successful exit in terms of returns thus far.

In recognition of his exceptional abilities, Rituraj was felicitated as the Young Security Entrepreneur of the Year by Central Association of Private Security Industry in 2011. Rituraj has an active interest in policy issues relating to the industry. He is currently the Co Chair of the FICCI Private Security sector committee and President of the Cash Logistics Association of India.
