Kaushik Burman is an experienced business leader with a broad set of experiences across leadership roles in Europe, North America and Asia. His sector experience ranges from transportation, energy and fintech verticals – with focus on leading P&L, driving innovation and managing disruption.
He is currently General Manager & Director at Gogoro India – Gogoro is a NASDAQ listed electric mobility & battery swapping infrastructure company, which is world’s largest electric scooter and battery swapping company. Kaushik has led global expansion of Gogoro, in key markets of Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and is now building Gogoro India as the world’s largest manufacturing & supply chain hub -- with a vision to decarbonize India’s transportation sector.
Prior to joining Gogoro, he worked in Shell across Europe and Asia, leading diverse teams in sales, marketing and customer operations. At Shell, he was founding team member of DLNG, GTM strategy & execution of DLNG, and subsequently GM of Shell Fleet Solutions (Singapore & Indonesia). Additionally, he evangelized clean energy solutions, led digital transformation in supply chains and represented Shell in policy discussions with European commission (Brussels). He has also worked in Fortune 500 companies such as Nestle, Citibank and Tata group in sales, marketing and strategy functions.

Kaushik holds an INSEAD Full-time MBA (2011), where he was accorded Blue Ocean Strategy scholarship. He has also completed advanced technology & policy program from Harvard Kennedy School. He is a trained Mechanical engineer from Univ College of Engineering (OU, Hyderabad) with Distinction, and, has an MBA from FMS Delhi.
At INSEAD, Kaushik is a certified coach and faculty for executive programs on strategic disruption & digital with clients such as Schneider Electric, P&G, TCS, Shell.Additionally, he is a global certified coach on “Strategy tools” and engages CXOs from multiple start-ups on transformation, growth strategy and customer experience.
