Vinay is an accomplished business leader with more than 20 years of experience - including running P&Ls, leading sales, marketing, product, content and operations teams, and setting up new digital businesses. He has rich and diverse expertise in education, consumer and technology sectors.

Currently, as senior VP at EMBIBE, he leads the content operations comprising K- 12, pre UG and pre PG verticals, and enterprise partnerships for growth. He had a long stint in S Chand group, where he built and grew all digital and services businesses in K -12, as well as invested in EdTech companies. He was profiled in Fortune India Magazine in 2020 for leading the digital transformation of the group.

His prior stints include HCL where he launched the K-12 consumer, skilling and distance learning business. He was part of the founding team for Indiacan Education (A Pearson Educomp JV) where he built a skilling business of 100 centres with 5 course verticals. He also had an entrepreneurial stint with Elements Academia Ltd, a skills building company. He was profiled in the Business Outlook issue of Social Entrepreneurs.

In addition to education sector, he had stints in technology and consumer sectors having launched new products and built channels in Airtel, Comsat Max and Blow Plast. Ltd. He is an MBA from IIM Calcutta with an engineering background. He has been an active mentor and facilitator in the start-up ecosystem. He has also been a visiting faculty in IMT, Ghaziabad.
