- Molton Brown to foray into India's hospitality sector in next fiscal
Molton Brown, British luxury beauty and fragrance brand, is planning to enter India's hospitality sector in the next fiscal and get into omni-channel retail. The brand is looking at launching 15 stores across India over the next five years.
Currently, Molton Brown has one store in the country. The company had forayed into India in June 2018.
Mark Hermann, Global Vice president (Sales) of Molton Brown, said, "We plan to get into the hotel business in India by the next financial year. We are already in talks with a few players. We expect hotel business to account for 20 per cent of our business in five years."
The brand is further eyeing starting its own e-commerce website in the next 12 months.
Mark Johnson, Global President of Molton Brown, said, "India is our most recent market and we are focusing on expanding here. The priority market for expansion for Molton Brown is Asia and Europe."
Hermann added, "We think the timing is perfect to enter India. While money was there. There were no luxury malls and retail channels. Now, luxury retail channels are coming up in a big way."
