Brief us about NRDC?

NRDC is a Government of India company, under the Ministry of science and Technology. Its basic mandate is to promogte and nurture creativity and innovation in the country. It interacts with all the public funded research laboratories, universities particularly higher education system so that whatever research is carried out, the objective of NRDC is to translate this research outcomes into industrially relevant and socially useful product and services.

Enlighten us about the entire process.

India is at a crossroads in its development path. With its fast-growing economy, rapid urbanization, and employment growth, energy demands are skyrocketing. Efforts to increase energy access and provide electricity to rural communities while alleviating poverty are also gaining momentum. Clean energy and energy-efficiency solutions are more critical than ever before.

At the same time, the impacts of climate change are bearing down, escalating the need for greater climate-resilience efforts to protect the health of vulnerable communities. Decisions and investments made in the next few years will shape whether Indian consumers, companies, and government authorities can turn these challenges into a business advantage as well as a national opportunity for clean energy to power cities and villages while reducing climate change impacts.
