Educating a generation a big responsibility

Euro Kids - Franchisee: Educating a generation a big responsibility

The Franchising World (TFW): In what way has your personal and professional background helped in shaping you as a Euro Kids franchisee?

Priya Mittal (PM): Professionally, I am well-qualified, so joining Euro Kids as a franchisee was like making a decision that would help culminate my motherly affection into a worthwhile profession wherein I could be dedicated to not only my children but others' children also.

TFW: How did you become a Euro Kids franchisee?

PM: Joining as a Euro Kids franchisee was a unanimous decision by my family and me. I was also overwhelmed by the support and guidance from Euro Kids.

TFW: What challenges did you face while initiating a Euro Kids franchise?

PM: When I started the work, two high profile schools had shut down. As a result, there was a slight reluctance among parents to send their kids to us. But once we worked with full dedication, the results started showing and we have been fully accepted today.

TFW: Describe your experience as a Euro Kids franchisee?

PM: As a Euro Kids franchisee, we are open to all kinds of challenges. Its a field that is not only very demanding, especially when dealing with parents from a higher strata of the society who want nothing less than the best for their kids in terms of standard of education, mode of teaching et al. We also need to be focussed and meticulous with kids because we are slowly, steadily and gently shaping their future, which is a big responsibility.

TFW: How would you compare a franchise model with an individual setup ?

PM: There is a lot of difference between working with a franchise model and undertaking the task through an individual setup. A franchise model could be called the better one because you definitely have the advantage of the support and guidance, along with a pre-nurtured reputation of several years, of the franchisor. So, it becomes the duty of every franchisee to conform to the standards set.

Individual setups do not have an internal/external support to help them when needed. They are solely responsible for their own profit or loss.

TFW: How will you evaluate yourself as a Euro Kids franchisee?

PM: Winning the trust of the Lokhandwala area people in Mumbai was our franchise's first bold initiative. Over the years, we have really gone ahead. But like it is said, 'the work of a nation is never completed, it goes on...' Similarly, the work of educating a generation of future nation builders also needs consistent effort on our part. Being a part of the Euro Kids franchise fraternity, I see a lot of potential in the field. It may take time, but we are prepared for it.
