- FitnessOne plans expansion
FitnessOne, a Chennai-based chain of fitness centres is looking at strengthening the presence of its centres by expanding the number to 100 in the next two years. This expansion will be a mix of company owned and franchised centres, confirms a company’s official.
The company is targeting the tier-1 and tier-2 cities of south India with special focus on Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad for launching the new centres in India. Besides this, the company is also planning to invest Rs 30 crore to expand ‘Propel’, its fitness centres and fitness equipment stores in the next two years. At present, Propel stores are operating through ten stores, out of which eight are franchised and is now eyeing to take its count to 50. FitnessOne has entered into a tie up with Shriram Finance to leverage the EMI option for their propel fitness equipments. Presently, the company has 36 centres, of which six are franchised, rest are all company owned.
