Adidas and singer Pharrell Williams have joined hands to relaunch the Superchell Superstar Sneaker. According to a PTI report, the 42-year-old fashion icon has been busy working with a group of artists to relaunch the shoe using different "creative modes" including "graffiti" and "candid moments captured on film" used as prints on the rubber toe of the garment, reported Contactmusic.
"I appreciate Adidas for having the willingness to open the garments and footwear to be a canvas for all these creative minds. I feel like in everything they do they are curious people," says Williams.
The Supershell project sees Pharrell hand-pick friends and creatives from around the world to completely reinvent the shoe's Shelltoe for the very first time, evolving the Superstar into a canvas for creation. Debuting with the Artwork Collection, Supershell brings art and creativity to the Superstar like never before. The Superstar's Shelltoe comes alive with signature graphic artworks and designs from NYC contemporary artist Todd James, American photographer-director Cass Bird and contemporary Japanese artist Mr., said an Adidas press release
