Advance Knowledge and particular demands of our clients motivates us to beat our competitors: Ravinder and Naveen Goel
In conversation with Ravinder and Naveen Goel, Directors, Little Nap Recliners, who spoke about the recliner industry in India.

The recliner industry in India is a rapidly growing market. Started in 2011, Little Nap Recliners has now all the big names in its Kitty. The name Little Nap was chosen as the brand’s recliners are engineered with a comfort that instantly puts one into a napping mode. Not just this, its logo reflects a chair in reclining position as it aims to give maximum comfort to its patrons. We spoke to the brand’s Directors, Ravinder and Naveen Goel on taking the brand ahead via franchise route and also the challenges that they see ahead...

Tell us about yourself and how come you thought of this concept of bringing out a recliner brand in India?
With an experience of over 3.5 years in the recliner Industry, we came up with an idea of starting a Recliner Brand, Little Nap Recliners. The whole idea behind was to provide the best comfort to the people and also the reason that the concept is fast emerging in India.

Tell us about this industry and its growth in India?
The recliner industry is very dynamic, star studded and is growing in India. Being an emerging brand in the growing industry, it becomes very crucial to make an image in the mind of the people which needs to be stabilized and sustained.

You are also franchising this concept. How many franchisees do you have and how do you select your franchise partners?
Currently, we have four franchisees and looking forward to have many more across India and overseas. Our prospective franchise partner should be passionate about work and also someone who fulfils our franchise investment terminology.

What are the challenges in this sector? How are you overcoming them?
Being a designer furniture brand, each and every chair made by us is customised. Fulfilling all the demands of the clients and making arrangement for their utilities in the recliner chair is quite a tedious job. Our winning edge is the innovation. We keep on introducing new designs, accessories and different utilities to pamper the customer and make him spoilt for choice.

Who are your major clients?
Some of our prestigious clientele includes PVR, Cinepolis India, Cine Grand Pvt. Ltd., Suncity Cinemas, Medanta Hospital, Kolmet Hospital, Gorantla Cinema, Raj Hans Cinema, R&S Cinema, Carnival Cinemas, MAX Hospital and many more….

What is the scope for franchising in this recliner industry?
We would say that the recliner industry is growing immensely and there is a huge scope of growth in this industry.

Where do you wish to take the brand in another 5 years? Are you also planning overseas operations?
We wish to be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and raise an IPO by 2022, which will give much more mileage to our brand. We are already into overseas operations. We supply recliner chairs to Europe, UAE & SAARC countries and are expanding. Also, we’ve executed a few cinema projects in Europe, UAE etc.

What motivates you to make products at par with international standards?
Little Nap has to emerge as a Global Brand, having its roots in India and presence all across the globe. Advance Knowledge and particular demands of our clients motivates us to beat our own best at all times. We keep on improving our quality standards by introducing new technologies into the manufacturing process so that every piece made is at par to its predecessor.  Also, the stringent rules followed in the international market needs to be followed while producing the chair so that our recliners can be easily installed in the markets like Europe, UAE etc.
