- AirAsia India Expands Its Mumbai Operations
AirAsia India, a TATA venture and India’s low-cost carrier, has started 10 new connections from Mumbai, expanding its network. AirAsia India will now be connecting Mumbai to Kochi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Indore, New Delhi and Bengaluru.
AirAsia India began its operations in Mumbai in January 2019 with its first connection to Bengaluru.
Sunil Bhaskaran, CEO and Managing Director, AirAsia India, said, “AirAsia India recently introduced its operations in Mumbai with direct flights to Bengaluru. The introduction of 10 additional routes will further help flyers from India’s commercial capital to fly to various destinations within the country. While this move aligns with our strategy of significantly expanding our network, it will also add new flyers to our network.”
Presently, AirAsia India has a fleet of 20 aircraft that cover 19 interesting destinations across India.
