Alok Industries to open 200 franchised outlets soon

Alok Industries Limited, an Indian textile firm is planning to add 200 stores under H&A brand name via franchising. The company is also looking at larger formats upto 2,500 sq. ft to accommodate men’s, women’s, and kids’, home and accessories categories.

The company has plans to double its polyester yarn capacity by setting up a new polymerisation plant by October 2010. The company is going to invest three billion rupees to increase the polyester yarn capacity to 1, 200 tonnes a day.

Established in 1986, the company has now expanded in weaving, knitting, processing, home textiles and garments. Alok has entered the domestic retail segment through a wholly owned subsidiary, Alok Retail India Limited; with a chain of stores named ‘H&A’ that offers garments and home textiles at attractive price points.
