Premium lingerie brand Amante is going to open its first store in Thane on December 11. The Sri Lankan brand owned by MAS Brands is expanding fast in the Indian and Sri Lankan market.
The brand has plans to open atleast 25 exclusive stores in India in next two to three years. It was launched exclusively in India in October 2007 and also offers franchise opportunity.
Amante follows three business models- large shop-in-shops, retail via multi-brand outlets, and also their e-commerce portal. MAS Holdings is the largest employer in Srilanka and has 70,000 people employed with 80-90 percent workforce as women. The brand also has internal programs to support women.
The firm encompasses swimwear, sleepwear and sportswear in addition to its lingerie collections. With its value premium positioning and customer centric innovation, it hopes to make it big in the two countries.
