- Amreesh Chandra Talks About the Growing International Market
India is one of the world's fastest-growing economies today and a country with a huge thirst for quality education. Likewise, Education businesses are always on a lookout for new opportunities to enroll quality students. Many countries like U.K and the U.S.A have already deepened their network in India by opening up branches and providing certified courses.
Addressing the increasing market of Indian school outside, Amreesh Chandra, Group President, GEMS Education said,” One important aspect of reverse immigration that’s happening of investors, teachers, and students coming back into India for their schooling education and this war is creating India as the next Intellectual capital of the world.”
Can’t afford to miss!
In the Indian curriculum, schools both overseas and in India, students benefit from a highly supportive system which encourages them to strive to reach their full, individual potential. Undoubtedly it is also rapidly gaining recognition and respect worldwide.
Talking about taking Indian Schools outside India, Amreesh Chandra said,” Yes, there is an increasing number of Indian schools outside and all the schools out there have essentially opened for the Indian population over there. You will really not find very many schools.” The reason being, he continued, “We have a robust schooling system but the evaluation and assessment system needs to be more global.”
The Collaborative Structure
Tie-ups strengthen the student’s exposure that gives them light into what schooling of foreign higher education can be. But it has to be in a structured way and that is not happening in India. “We have sporadic relationships across schools in Bombay, Delhi, and Pune. There has to be a structured approach in how you are doing this”, said the Group President, GEMS Education.
Say Yes to Rules & Regulations
Is it difficult to build a unique curriculum for Global Schools and yet maintain the core of the Brand?
Well, Indian Curriculum is the most talked about curriculum with structured regulations that are a mandate for the students.
Amreesh Chandra is of the opinion that,” There has to be a regulatory aspect that allows such common programs that are held jointly by a school and a university giving them credits for summer school programs outside.”
