Anytime Fitness is looking at opening 75 more gyms in the next five years across India. The 24x7 fitness club chain presently runs 17 gyms in the country.
“Nearly 1/3rd of all Anytime Fitness gyms are located outside the United States, which is the proof that our business model is attractive to potential franchisees and consumers worldwide. In fact, 2015 will likely be the first year that we open more gyms internationally than in the US. In just the past few weeks, Anytime Fitness, LLC signed agreements with Master Franchisees to begin opening gyms in Sweden and Italy. The company now has franchise agreements in 29 different countries,” says Vikas Jain, Managing Director, House of Fitness Pvt Ltd.
The brand is expanding its base in India via the franchise route. “Franchising is the easiest and fastest way to expand. Once you have a proven business model and your systems and processes are in place, then you can move ahead with franchising. On a franchise front, the brand offers a great business opportunity of exciting work life and great returns. The concept of anytime fitness is a perfect fit for health connoisseurs in India who are looking for convenient, non-intimidating and value-oriented place to stay fit,” he adds.
