- Aptech takes ‘English Express’ track
Aptech Limited, a Mumbai based learning solutions major, announced the launch of ‘English Express’ an english language learning academy. The operations in main centers will be under the direct aegis of Aptech and the business expansion will be done through franchise model. With its foray into language training, Aptech is aiming a considerable share of market which reportedly has a potential of $1.4 billion - when both organised and unorganised English training players are combined. Moreover English language training contributes towards 33 per cent of the total vocational courses in India. The company also plans to focus on tying up with educational institutions like universities, colleges and schools across the country. The training centers are designed to provide maximum benefit to people with different levels of English language. There are sessions exclusively structured for professionals who are good at English but want to sharpen their edge in business language(corporate language), for beginners and for any one who wants to learn the language. English Express, which features Glottophone's digital language lab that incurs a fee of one lakh rupees per license, a special library to provide resources like journals, books, videos, CDs and online materials. The academy has collaborated with Cambridge University Press for English Language Teaching (ELT) to provide authorised course materials. The course fee can range from Rs 4,000-5,000 (for entry level) to Rs 7,000 – 8,000 (for high level) per month.
