The VEB, if approved, would enhance various institutions which are not recognised by the CBSE such as Acharyakulam, Vidya Bharati schools run by RSS, and gurukuls, run by Arya Samaj.

Baba Ramdev, India’s Yoga Guru, has once again requested the HRD Ministry to setup Vedic Education Board which will work alongside the existing education system. Earlier, Ramdev had put the similar request in front of Smriti Irani, Former HRD Minister, but after giving a second thought on the proposal, she had dismissed the request.

However, the former HRD Minister had confirmed to set up board for Vedic education, ‘Ved Vidya’, in alignment with CBSE. Recently, Ramdev’s close supporter Balkrishna had reached out to the current HRD Minister, Prakash Javadekar with the same proposal.

Though when contacted by the media to fetch further details of the meeting, HRD Minister evaded off from the matter stating that since he is not keeping well, many people come to meet him. He informed further that visit of Balkrishna was on the same line and since he is into Ayurveda, Minister also called Balkrishna to prescribe some medicine to him.

According to the sources as reported, the VEB, if approved, would enhance various institutions which are not recognised by the CBSE such as Acharyakulam, Vidya Bharati schools run by RSS, and gurukuls, run by Arya Samaj.
