- Baby In Arms plans franchise expansion
Baby In Arms, a utility based store model, offering a comprehensive range and variety of apparel and accessories for expecting moms and kids, plans to expand its retail footprint across all major Indian cities, through franchise route by hiring Francorp’s strategic expertise.
Baby In Arms established in 2002, caters to kid’s requisites in garments, feeding accessories, toys, kid's furniture, apparel, baby care products and all sorts of accessories from birth to five years olds. They also offer maternity wear including nursing gowns.
Elaborating its unique business model, Preetham, Founder and CEO of Baby In Arms, says, "Currently the mom / kids apparel and accessories segment in India is unorganised and is mainly dominated by small players having a limited regional presence. But with the advent of numerous established players, both national as well as international, this sector has started making resolute strides towards the organised domain. The new-age Indian parents are more conscious about the apparels and accessories for their infants/ toddlers, with respect to the various choices available in the market. Hence the infants and toddler segment of the population is fast emerging as the target segment for aspiring businessmen.”
Commenting upon this association, Gaurav Marya, Managing Director, Francorp, said, “I am delighted to work with Baby In Arms, for its ambitious expansion programme. India is a country fraught with opportunities for franchising and is ready for significant expansion. Baby In Arms is a novel concept, which not only aims to organise this nascent and unorganised domain, but also aims to uplift the industry benchmarks and standardise the industry practices, through its innovative approach towards this segment. I am confident that this relationship between Francorp and Baby In Arms, will generate exciting business opportunities for the potential investors & entrepreneurs.”
