Bangs Fried Chicken, an Indian QSR brand plans to open 500 outlets across the country in next five years. The company presently has 23 outlets, out of which 15 are franchised. On the expansion Asvin Simon, Director, Bangs informs: “Out of the total 500 outlets, 400 will be franchised and rest 100 will be company-owned.”
“By this yearend we plan to open around 50 more franchise outlets and plan to take up the count to 180-200 outlet by 2013 across the country,” he further added.
The brand offers three business models, which are: Kiosk (only for metro cities), Express outlet and Restaurant. For franchising minimum investment for a kiosk is Rs 13 lakh, along with an area of 80 – 120 sq. ft, express outlet model will cost about Rs 20-25 lakh and area around 400 – 800 sq. ft and for restaurant model it demands about Rs 35 lakh and more which includes franchisee fee, equipment and interiors along with an area of 1,000-1,500 sq. ft.
