- Bank of Baroda introduces creche/daycare facility for children of employees
Bank of Baroda has launched a crèche/child daycare facility for children of its employees, becoming one of the first public sector banks to introduce such facility.
Initially, the facility has been started at Bank of Baroda’s Mumbai corporate office in Bandra Kurla Complex which houses some 1500-plus employees. The bank further intends to roll out more of them at its head office in Vadodara.
Papia Sengupta, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda, said, “This initiative is designed to help employees save time and reduce the stress of finding the right care for children in the age group of 6 months to 6 years. Bank of Baroda will bear 60% of the cost every month for each employee, while 40% will be taken care of by the parents”
“We are open to evaluating the feasibility of introducing this facility in other metros and major locations. We aim to create a professional environment that is conducive to working women and mothers.” Sengupta added.
The bank has collaborated with a professional agency called Klay Prep Schools and Daycare for launching this facility.
