Barista Coffee’s owner Carnation Hospitality is planning to touch the 750 outlets’ mark in the next five years. At present there are 198 outlets of the company. Barista has 174 stores in India and 24 outlets across Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the UAE.
Carnation Hospitality, which acquired Barista Coffee from Lavazza Spa in July this year, is looking forward to open 550 Barista outlets in five years. Of the total planned outlets, 350 will be owned and operated by the company, while the remaining will be franchisee-run.
Established in February 2000, Barista Coffee chain of espresso bars delivers an Italian coffee experience. Barista Coffee consists of young adults, who are exposed to global lifestyles and appreciate the flavours and tastes of coffee. Carnation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Haryana-based packaging company Rollatainers, is planning to introduce global players such as US hamburger chain Wendy's and Jamie's Italian, the Italian restaurant brand of celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, in India.
