Bata India Limited, India’s footwear retailer and manufacturer is expanding its retail chain, by adding 70 new global format stores this year.

Bata India Limited, India’s footwear retailer and manufacturer is expanding its retail chain, by adding 70 new global format stores this year. These spacious stores will be a mix of both, company owned and franchise stores. These will present consumers with the largest variety of footwear designs and styles, with the best in class service.

Bata India recently launched its two new stores in Kolkata. Spread over more than 2,500 sq. ft of shopping space, the stores are located in Jadavpur.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajeev Gopalakrishnan, Group Managing Director, Bata India Limited said: “We are pleased to offer our customers two new stores in one of the premium and busiest markets in Kolkata. Our objective is to make shoe shopping a pleasurable affair for our consumers.”

The new Bata stores are made as per Bata’s global format. The stores offer a complete range of stylish footwear and accessories like handbags and belts for the customers.

Bata has over 1,250 stores in 500 plus cities across India and is continuing to increase its presence in Tier II and III markets across the country.
