- Beauty and Wellness Sector Skill Council signs MoU with international body CIDESCO
In order to increase overseas employment opportunities for trained professionals of India, Beauty and Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&WSSC) under the ministry of Skill Development has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with international body CIDESCO.
The Committee International d'Esthtique et de Cosmtologie (CIDESCO), which is based in Zurich, is considered the world standard for Beauty and Spa Therapy.
The MoU will enable Indian candidates in the field of beauty to get dual certification recognised in 60 countries.
Vandana Luthra, Chairperson of B&WSSC, said, "It is the first-of-its-kind initiative in which a sector skill council has signed a MoU with an international body for boosting the global mobility of the candidates trained in beauty Therapy."
She added that this association will not only help to establish service delivery parameters but also bring about uniformity in training, along with helping in knowledge exchange between India and other countries.
