- Being a Gym Franchisee Owner Himself, Ramesh Gajria Wants People to Stop Gym Donations
Even though people have realised the value of fitness in life yet hitting the gym every day is a task especially for working professionals. Most businessmen spend more than 4-5 hours of their everyday life in traveling, which leaves them with less or no time for gyming unless they are extremely health conscious people.
Fitness cannot take a backseat for hectic schedules, which is why TrainMe App has been developed by Ramesh Gajria, who also runs the franchise of Gold Gyms and owns Transform Gyms in Mumbai.
What is TrainMe App?
TrainMe App is a mobile application that aims to redefine convenience and customization in health regimens by making it easier to seek personal instructions from fitness experts.
TrainMe was born clearly out need that Gajria identified on current problems that exist of people paying for fitness and not turning up. He started with a campaign on #stopgymdonations that clearly highlights that people pay and don’t turn up.
Gajria believes that good health should be available to all, those who can’t get away from offices all day long and those who can’t afford expensive personal instructors at savvy gyms.
When asked, “Since YouTube channels, online videos and many yoga tutorials are available online, how can an app be of any use?”
Gajria said, “All of the above are providing virtual services. TrainMe, on the other hand, is a platform to take fitness training session with the trainer at a convenient time & at your location. No one can learn swimming just by reading books or watching videos. Similarly, one cannot meticulously train himself/herself just by watching videos; therefore, TrainMe plays a very important role in people’s lifestyle as we send a personal fitness trainer at your doorstep whenever you want to work out.
According to Gajria “Our trainers reach the customer with 30-45 minutes with the entire training kit. The customer just needs to be ready with a bottle of water & sports shoes.”
Impact of Technology on Business
Gajria adds, “Technology is actually enabling businesses to reach end users directly & at the same time, empowering them to request for the services in few clicks i.e. on the go. New technologies have had an enormous impact on all aspects of the fitness industry, all the way from marketing and payment transactions to biometric evaluation.”
He says, “Taking advantage of these technological advancements, TrainMe is servicing customers by sending professional fitness trainer at customer doorstep with just a click of a button.”
Future Plans
Gajria opens up about his future plans, he says, “We are currently operating in 10 suburbs in Mumbai, the plan is to capture entire Mumbai in the next 2 years & then move to other metros like Bangalore, Delhi, Pune. In 5 years, we see us having 1 Lac active customers training with us.”
He explains, “The Indian wellness industry is expected to grow at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of nearly 12% for the next 5 years. The industry can achieve about Rs1.5 trillion by FY20, according to a recent report by Ficci and EY. While the wellness and preventive health care sector as a whole is expected to nearly double by 2020, some sub-segments will outperform others.”
