- Being Human to venture into activewear segment
"In India, it is just the global players who are dominating the segment. Since no significant national player is present in this category, and youngsters today are involved in some form of fitness activity, we see a big opportunity to provide value-for-money products," says Manish Mandhana, Managing Director, Mandhana Industries.
Being Human Clothing, which offers casual wear for men and women, is present across 16 countries including the Middle East, Nepal, Europe and South Africa. This year, it plans to add a segment for boys aged 6 to 16 years. By March, Being Human Clothing will make its debut in France. As per the company, the brand is targeting a turnover of Rs 220 crore this fiscal.
In a unique licensing arrangement with Being Human - The Salman Khan Foundation, Mandhana Industries Ltd has brought out the clothing line with a heart where royalties from the clothing line support education and healthcare initiatives of the Foundation. With an exclusive global license to design, manufacture, retail and distribute Being Human Clothing, Mandhana Industries Ltd launched the brand in 2012 in Europe, followed by the Middle East and India and the clothing range is now available in more than 15 countries worldwide.
