- Bengaluru to get its first H&M store on March 25
Swedish fashion retailer H&M is going to set up its next store in Bengaluru on March 25. Spread over two floors and encompassing a space of more than 30,000 square feet, the new location will offer a wide variety of the latest fashion trends and timeless basics at affordable prices, reports Economic Times.
The store will offer a wide assortment of merchandise catering to women, men, teenagers and children, including athletic wear and lingerie. "We are very proud to open our first store in VR Bengaluru and bring to our customers what H&M is known for world over- fashion and quality in the best price, in a sustainable way," told Janne Einola, Country Manager for H&M Hennes & Mauritz Retail, India to Economic Times.
Also, the brand plans to open stores in Mohali, Noida and Mumbai. H&M is the latest global fashion retailer to enter India, which will be the Swedish brand's 60th market. It is the first overseas firm to enter India alone after the government allowed 100 per cent foreign direct investment in single-brand retail. The company, which committed investment of $115 million in early 2014, plans to open 50 retail stores in India. H&M operates 3,900 stores across 59 countries, generating $22 billion in revenue.
