Kerela Vaidyashala (India) Pvt. Ltd, a chain of ayurvedic medispa is planning to venture into overseas market through franchise route by joining hands with Yash Birla Group. Birla Kerala Vaidyashala, the 51:49 joint venture between the two entities has plans to launch its medispas in Colombo, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia.
As told to Ramanjit Kaur of FIHL, “We have signed franchise deals in Colombo and Malaysia. We are now looking forward to talk with our Australian partners in the mid of December,” says Vishwajith Kurup, ED, Birla Kerala Vaidyashala (BKV). He also said that they will launch the medispa of Malaysia before 2010.
The company will provide their franchisees with infrastructure help, technical support, medicine and doctors availability. The company has plans to roll out more centers in India, which will be a mix of company owned and franchised. BKV will open up more medispas in association with hospital chains like Apollo. Presently, the company operates in Apollo hospitals in Kolkata and Agra.
