Blue Star Limited, an Air conditioning and commercial refrigeration major, is eyeing to raise its market share to 13.5 % from the current 12.8% in FY 20.
The company also aims to hit a market share of 15% in Kerala as it is the second largest player in the state.
CP Mukundan Menon, President (sales & marketing), products business, Blue Star, said, "In the current year the market share of the company has increased by 0.5 % to12.8% as it performed better than the industry. As compared with 4% industry growth in the room air conditioners, Blue Star achieved 10% growth this year."
Blue Star aims that its introduction of a slew of 75 new models of room air conditioners, including energy efficient inverter ACs for extra cooling, will raise its sales prospects.
"The company is likely to close the current year with a turnover of over Rs 5000 crore as compared with Rs 4600 crore in the last year. We are expecting good sales this summer. Normally 70% of the AC sales happen in the first half of the year," Menon stated.
