Textile brand Bombay Dyeing will be opening 50 new-age stores this fiscal year in India.

Textile brand Bombay Dyeing will be opening 50 new-age stores this fiscal year in India. It presently has 350 outlets across India, including 16 company owned stores. Locations of the stores will be high street, malls across metros and category A towns. The focus will be on combination of company owned and franchise stores.

Ashok Kaul, Chief Executive for Retail, Bombay Dyeing said:  “We have already opened six such stores and by the end of the fiscal, 50 more of them will be ready. The stores will have an area ranging between 700 and 1600 sq ft.

Bombay Dyeing’s new strategy is to come up with stylish product and design development with focus on retail. Major highlights of the changes in new-age stores include contemporary design, product specific attractive displays, solution selling to promote all categories and coordinated bed and bath ranges.

The new-age stores are stylish and chic, with a white colour palette that lets the colourful products stand out, which will attract the youth. Meanwhile, the brand is also launching its mattresses for the first time.
