Bosch and Siemens Household Appliances (BSH) plans to take the number of its branded stores to 60 by the year-end and add 200 point of sales in its retail sales network.
The company, which sells its range of products under Bosch and Siemens brand, is also expecting a 40 per cent increase in its sales this year. "We would have 50 to 60 brand stores of Bosch and Siemens brands together by the end of this year. The company would add around 200 point of sales during that period," BSH Household Appliances Manufacturing MD and CEO Gunjan Srivastava told PTI.
BSH has 37 brand stores which include 22 of Siemens and 16 of Bosch, along with 1,000 point of sales where their range of products are available.
Bosch brand serves the mass premium segment, while Siemens is for the premium segment and is above the former, he said, adding that both the brands contribute equally in percentage of sales.
Apart from offline, the company is also looking to tap the sales from online platforms. "We are looking on online sales channels. It would be through key online partners," said Srivastava.
BSH, which has started a manufacturing unit in India at Chennai by investing Rs 350 crore, had recently announced its second facility in Pune. The company presently has 10 per cent market share in the front load washing machines category and has a niche presence in the 400 litre and above category refrigerators.
