Brewberrys chain of cafes under the banner of Brewberrys Hospitality Pvt. Ltd plans to open 50 franchised café outlets by the end of 2010. The company aspires to earn an average turnover of Rs. 20 crore from these outlets.
As told to Abha Garyali of FIHL by Ankur Gupta, CEO and Director, Brewberrys Hospitality Pvt. Limited, “ At present, the company operates around 16 outlets in cities like Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Surat, Indore, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram and Bhopal.” He further added, “Our franchisees for the outlets opening in the first quarter of the year have already been finalised and we are looking for franchisees for the next quarter now. We also have plans to open around 25 outlets in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Kochi, Pune, Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Lucknow and Punjab.” Due to the popularity of the café in Ranchi the company plans to open atleast five more outlets across Jharkhand and Orissa.
The company operates its cafés in three formats- Cafe, Kiosk and Bistro. With respect to the investment and area required Gupta informs, “We need an investment of Rs. 12 to Rs. 18 lakh, depending upon the format, place and locality. For our outlets we require an area of 600 sq. feet to 1800 sq. feet.” The company plans to set up café’s and bistros on high streets and kiosk outlets at shopping malls and airports.
