Brigade group has forayed into the co-working space with the launch of a sub-brand, BuzzWorks. For the co-working entry, the Bengaluru-based real estate developer is currently using its existing properties in seven locations in three cities, including Bengaluru, Kochi and Ahmedabad (GIFT City).
Nirupa Shankar, Executive Director of Brigade Enterprises, said, "The company has commenced co-working operations with 2.5 lakh sq ft having 2,500 seats and is expected to be scaled up to one million sq ft in three years. We’ll explore other private properties as we grow and expand operations in other cities."
"The company has so far developed 10 million sq ft and another 11 million sq ft is under various stages of development," she added.
Subrata KC Sharma, COO Commercial, Brigade Enterprises, stated, "BuzzWorks had received an overwhelming response even before its launch. Our first centre is 100 per cent booked and this has further motivated us to expand aggressively."
MR Jaishankar, CMD, Brigade Enterprises, said, "As we expand and add more seats and locations, our investments will be proportionately increased. Over the years we have evolved our business and transformed our product and service offerings across all domains of real estate, be it residential, hospitality, office or retail. BuzzWorks is a natural extension of our commercial office portfolio."
