BSNL to franchise 3G mobile services

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a state-run telecom company is considering the franchise option to outsource its 3G mobile services across the country. Currently, the company is working on the details of the franchise agreement in order to reduce the investment that it has to make in rolling out the 3G services.

The company has invited the Expressions of Interest (EoI) from the interested parties by the end of this month. The franchisees will manage the business of customer acquisition, marketing, and sales of 3G services on behalf of the company. The partners interested in taking up the BSNL franchise can be the existing mobile service providers that still have not partnered with any 3G spectrum.
