Canon India Pvt. Ltd, a Digital Imaging Company has made its foray into the retail space with the launch of its exclusive brand retail store called ‘Canon Image Square’. Recently, the first Canon Image Square outlet was inaugurated by Sachin Tendulkar, who is also the brand ambassador of Canon in Noida. The retail expansion will be done via franchise route.
Canon Image Square is a one-stop destination for people with imaging needs, enabling increased visibility and reach across the country with an objective to boost sales. According to Parveen Sahni, Assistant Director, Canon India, “We plan to open 300 franchised outlets in the next two years. These outlets will be spread across 150 cities pan India.”
The store enforces Canon’s increased focus on penetration across the country including major metros and tier II and tier III markets to enhance the brand awareness and increase sales. The area covered by each outlet would vary from a minimum of 800 sq. ft to a maximum of 1300 sq. ft.
