Charzer Brings EV Charging On WhatsApp With Its New Feature For Ease Of Use image
Charzer is powering more than 19 lakh EV kilometers every month by dispensing 300 Mega Wh of electricity across over 250 cities in India.

Charzer, an EV charging station aggregation platform has introduced a new WhatsApp feature to offer hassle free charging for EV users aiming to make EV charging more accessible and user-friendly, particularly for individuals who may find mobile applications challenging to operate.

Charzer identified a significant challenge faced by fleet drivers, such as three-wheeler and cab drivers, who often encounter difficulties when operating new mobile applications. The need for extensive training and multiple rounds of instruction, along with frequent rotation of drivers, leads to instances where fleet managers or hub managers often take on the responsibility of initiating charging on behalf of the drivers.

This diverts the attention of these managers from efficiently managing their fleets to managing the charging process. Additionally, older individuals who rely on their children to make bookings and start charging have had to deal with this inconvenience.

Recognizing the widespread use of WhatsApp across various age groups, Charzer's solution simplifies the process by allowing anyone to start charging their EVs with just a simple "Hi" sent to 7829330410 on WhatsApp. Users can also message in Hindi, Telugu and Kannada as well.

Commenting on the new feature, Sameer Ranjan Jaiswal, CEO and Co-Founder, Charzer, said, “We are excited to launch this new Whatsapp feature that can make it much easier for our users to use our charging stations. At Charzer, our primary goal is to make charging stations easily accessible to all EV users. With this new feature, users can start charging their EVs without the need to download an additional app, making the process more accessible, particularly for individuals who are not tech-savvy.”

During a successful pilot programme with fleet partners, Charzer managed to reduce driver training time to just two minutes, as drivers were already familiar with WhatsApp. This feature also provides fleet managers with more time to focus on operational tasks and eliminates the need for constant coordination between managers and drivers for charging activities.
