Ci Gusta forays into India

Ci Gusta, an Italian food restaurant chain is exploring opportunity to start operations in the Indian market. The company has signed a joint agreement with Franchise India Holdings Limited (FIHL) and Octagona India for this expansion. Happy Time Solutions, an Italy based company is the owner of the restaurant chain. The company plans to open the first brand outlet in India by early next year. To start with the company will target only metros and large cities.

Dario Rabboni, Managing Director, Happy Time Solutions says: “It is with great pleasure that we at Ci Gusta announce our agreement with Franchise India and Octagona, in order to bring to India and other thriving Asian countries the possibility to enjoy and appreciate authentic Italian food. Our ultimate goal is to bring happiness combined with a unique, innovative and affordable food experience.”

Presently, the brand has operations in Italy, Singapore and Rome and deals in products like soups, authentic Italian gelato and coffee specialties. Ci Gusta is also planning to expand its international presence to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Dubai.

Speaking on this tie up, Gaurav Marya, President, FIHL said: “We are proud to announce our tie up with Octagona India and Ci Gusta to help them foray into the Indian market. We will provide our consultation services and expertise to help Ci Gusta to establish and expand its outlets in India.”
