- Cocoberry plans pan India expansion
Delhi based premium frozen Yogurt chain, Cocoberry has planned to open 50 new outlets to expand in all the major metros and mini-metros, across the country by 2011. These new outlets will be a combination of company-owned as well as franchised outlets.
Cocoberry is a food chain that specialises in frozen fresh yogurt and fruit dessert items. The company will be opening these outlets in all the major cities including Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai. The Cocoberry chain, part of IT firm Horizon Group, currently operates 11 outlets in Delhi, NCR and Mumbai. It is planning to open their next outlet in Chandigarh by May 2010 end.
Cocoberry is also venturing into soups and beverages market as it seeks to tap Rs 10,000 crore health food market in India. The company’s experiment with yogurt as healthy food had proven successful. Therefore, now Cocoberry will introduce soups, salads, iced green tea, and smoothies in their outlets by end of May. This is intended to establish the brand as a wholesome destination for healthy foods, especially among the youngsters.
