- ComicFlix plans to foray into consumer segment
ComicFlix, a start-up that developed a tech-based solution to convert films into graphics novels, is looking to foray into the consumer business.
Guru Pandian, Co-Founder of ComicFlix, said, "There is a huge business opportunity lying untapped. People are looking beyond making albums on birthdays, weddings or any other functions."
The startup can convert CSR (corporate social responsibility) videos, college anniversaries, and virtually any video into a graphics book. The solution of ComicFlix can convert a full-fledged feature film into a graphic novel within a week.
"For now, the start-up will focus on the business-to-business market. The consumer engagement will happen after we consolidate the enterprise business," Pandian further stated.
He added, "Eighty per cent of the work is done by the machine. Placement of text in the graphics and touch-ups to the images will be handled manually."
