- Cookie Man plans 50 news outlets
Cookie Man, an Australian bakery brand is all set to capture the Indian market with its rapid expansion plan. The brand plans to add 50 more outlets to its network by the end of this year. The company would mostly take the franchise route for this expansion.
As informed by Pattabhi Rama Rao, President, Australian Foods India, owning Cookie Man,” About 80 per cent of the expansion would be franchised and 20 per cent would be company owned.”He further said, “At present Cookie Man has marked its presence in 15 towns in India but by this year’s end, we want to reach 20 towns.” The brand has 42 operational units so far.
The brand also plans to decrease the cost of franchise investment. Earlier, the franchise model needed about Rs 30-35 lakh. However in the newer model, the company will have smaller stores with smaller ovens for baking. The brand aspires to reach smaller towns with low-cost budget of Rs 10-15 lakh.
