Australia based QSR chain Country Chicken, is seeking expansion in India. For this the company has tied up with Chennai-based Star Quick Service Restaurants Pvt. Ltd. This expansion will be done via the franchise route in metros and tier-II cities in India.
The company plans to invest Rs 200 crore during the next four years and has set the target of 300 outlets across the country by 2015. The chain will also open 35 outlets in Tamil Nadu by 2014. The restaurant will involve formats like takeaway counters and stand-alone restaurants.
