Country Comfort Hotels seeks partners for India foray

Country Comfort Hotels is seeking business opportunities in India and is in talks with a Mumbai based group too for expansion through franchise route. Country Comfort Hotels is a brand managed by Singapore-based SilverNeedle Hospitality. SilverNeedle Hospitality currently manages and licenses 23 Country Comfort Hotels in Australia and New Zealand.

Sean Flynn, Executive Vice President, Brand, SilverNeedle Hospitality said: “ We wish to expand via franchise route in India and our target cities will be Mumbai, Delhi, Calcutta, Pune, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Goa. We are looking for franchise partners that have proven hotel management experience – preferably in the upper-midscale sector – with a multiple property development plan for at least three Country Comfort Hotels. A prospective partner should also have access to a minimum of USD2.5 million in capital per property and is willing to make an initial term commitment of 20 years.”

Country Comfort model has an average of 101 rooms and looks to put its franchise on hotels with 80-150 rooms each in major cities as well as secondary and tertiary cities in India.
