Crocs India, a leading casual footwear brand is planning to extend its base in tier I and tier II towns by adopting franchise route. The brand is seeking multiple franchise partners. It has opted for franchising to cater to the needs of different consumers all over India by taking their product range across the country and reaching out to a much wider audience base. Crocs India is foraying in towns like Siliguri, Sikkim and Coimbatore through local partners and has already made a mark in metros.
Crocs started its operations in India in mid 2007. Today, the brand has a pan-India presence. The brand's mission is to bring comfort, fun and innovation to the world's feet. Explaining about the expansion strategy, Nissan Joseph, General Manager, Crocs India says, "We wish to reach out to a wider audience. We are exploring more retail partnerships for this. Crocs was founded in the year 2002. Crocs introduced an innovative shoe made of a revolutionary material called Croslite. The peculiar characteristics of Croslite technology, made it possible for the shoe to be worn on both land and in water. Hence, the company was named Crocs adhering to the multi-environment, amphibious nature of Crocodiles. There are various sub-brands under Crocs, namely, CrocsRx Medical and Jibbitz. CrocsRx Medical is a specialised line of footwear designed for people suffering from various foot conditions such as plantar fasciitis, bunions, arch pain, heel pain and circulatory or sensory problems. Jibbitz offers unique and colorful products for consumers, allowing them to personalise their Crocs shoes and accessory items.
