After terminating its exclusive franchising agreement for India with Chogori Retail, now Crocs will join hands with multiple franchise partners to roll out about 150 exclusive outlets and another 250 shop-in-shop touch points across the country over the next three to five years.
US footwear brand, Crocs had entered India in 2007 through franchise deal with Chogori Retail. The collaboration saw 32 standalone outlets in India. The contract, however, was terminated in September 2014, and currently, there are about 12 such outlets that are still operational.
Crocs India, has chalked out strategies to grow and expand the brand in 2015. The brand shall launch its own e-store too. Crocs was founded in the year 2002. Crocs introduced an innovative shoe made of a revolutionary material called Croslite. The peculiar characteristics of Croslite technology, made it possible for the shoe to be worn on both land and in water. Hence, the company was named Crocs adhering to the multi-environment, amphibious nature of Crocodiles.
