- Dandy to add 100 stores by 2011
The leading manufacturer and exporter of fashion accessories, Dandy Collection is planning to launch more than 100 franchised outlets by the end of 2011. It has also opened its first company-owned exclusive showroom in New Delhi.
Dandy is a renowned name in leather wallets and accessories for having cost effective prices all over the US, Europe and other countries. In its new outlet in Delhi it will offer an impeccable collection of ladies handbags, clutches, travel accessories, sun glasses, artificial jewellery, watches, wallets, belts, neck ties, handkerchiefs, portfolio and luggage. The reason behind its foray into India is a rapid evolution of India’s retail landscape.
In India, Dandy plans to open its own brand outlets in Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Gurgaon and Noida, apart from Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Ludhiana and Hyderabad, thereby extending its footprint to a total of 30 exclusive stores by the end of 2010. It has targeted 100 plus franchisees by the end of 2011.
Dandy has already been supplying its fashion accessories to major retail chains in the country such as Vishal Retail, Big Bazaar, Wal-Mart, Reliance Mart, Reliance Fresh, V Mart, ITC Limited, Spencer’s, Big Apple, Amartex, Coupon, Aditya Birla Group’s More retail chain, etc.
The company has a total of 25 franchisees till date, including both shop-in-shop and exclusive outlets. Dandy has been also focusing on developing and recruiting master franchisees as part of its business strategy for the past three to four months.
