- Delivery startup Dunzo now expands to Mumbai
Dunzo has announced its expansion to Mumbai. However, the delivery startup’s services will be limited to only suburbs of Powai currently.
Besides Mumbai, the hyperlocal task management startup already has a presence in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi, Gurugram, Chennai as well as Pune.
Dunzo is further looking to expand its bike taxi service, Pillion, to Jaipur this month. The on-demand delivery startup is delivering groceries as well as drops and picks up items forgotten by people or to be delivered from one place to another.
Kabeer Biswas, CEO of Dunzo, said, “We should do about 2 million orders this month. Last month ended at 1.6-1.7 million orders with Bangalore contributing 40% of it.”
“Dunzo plans to have eight-odd million monthly transactions in about nine cities by the end of the current year, and 25 million monthly orders next year,” Biswas added.
Dunzo is also in talks with venture capital firm Lightbox Ventures to lead a $50 million round for facilitating the aggressive growth and expansion.
