Abha Garyali (AG): Brief us about Anshu’s Designer Studio and products that it offers.

Ravi Bhandari (RB): Anshu's Designer Studio is a leading fashion house and designer boutique in Ahmedabad offering online shopping for saris including Indian ethnic wear including wedding saris, bridal saris, evening wear, party wear, Indian designer wear etc. Our designer wear outfits are adorned with velvet patches, ribbon work, laces, kasab work, resham work, intricate hand embroidery, zircons, crystals, diamonds etc. We use finest quality raw materials and fabrics like net, shimmer, shimmer georgette, shimmer net, pure silk, raw silk, brocade, jamawarm, crepe, georgette to make our outfits attractive and irresistible.

Women’s ethnic wear offered by Anshu’s Designer Studio are designed by national level fashion designers, who design women wear for Hollywood stars, Indian Film Industry and also for Miss India, Miss Universe, Miss World Competition or wedding wear designs for celebrities. Our exclusive collection includes designer saris, designer salwar kameez, bridal collection as bridal saris and bridal lehnga, party wear lehnga, party wear saris etc. More than 65 designers are putting in all their talent and honest efforts to give the most desired exclusive designs that can be found only at Anshu's designer Studio. The most satisfied and proud clients across globe has narrated Anshu's sucess story and now Anshu's is coming up pan India in every major city very soon.

AG: What inspired you to start Anshu’s Designer Studio? When and what motivated you to take the franchise route for Anshu’s Designer Studio?

RB: Since there was no branded designer store in Gujarat for women, so we started Anshu’s Designer Studio. To inform the fashion conscious women across India about our offering, we took the franchise route for expansion.

AG: Have you faced any competition from the organised apparel sector? What strategies were followed to handle competition?

RB: No, we did not face any competition from organised apparel sector since there is no one in women’s ethnic wear. Also we offer unique designs at affordable prices.

AG: Do you think franchising has played an important role in the success of the company?

RB: Yes, franchising has played a significant role in the success of the company. The company has opened nine stores across India since we opted for franchise route.

AG: How is Anshu’s Designer Studio different from other apparel brands? What is its USP?

RB: The collection available at Anshu’s Designer Studio is designed by team of designers working exclusively for us and this makes us different from others. Our USP is ‘exclusive designs at economical prices’.

AG: How many franchisees do you have and in which cities in India? What are your future plans for expansion?

RB: We have nine franchised stores so far; two in Delhi and Chennai, and in Raipur, Jabalpur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad etc. The company plans to reach 50 stores by March 2012.

AG: What are the qualities and qualifications that you look for in your franchisees? How much investment is required by aspiring franchisees?

RB: We look for financially sound partners with good social contacts, and who are ready to invest Rs 25 lakh depending on the various factors.

AG: What support and training do you provide to your franchisees?  
RB: We provide all sorts of advertising support and sales training to the franchisees.
