- District Magistrate inaugurates 10 upgraded Government schools in Noida
BN Singh, District Magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar, has inaugurated 10 largest upgraded Government schools in Noida. These schools were upgraded by DLF Foundation under its Integrated School Development Project with the mission to provide scholastic and non-scholastic support to students in the field of education.
DLF Foundation has undertaken the task to upgrade 20 government schools in three phases. So far, 10 government schools have been revamped in the first phase of the integrated school development project. It plans on upgrading the rest 10 schools in the next 2 phases. The Foundation seeks to improve the quality of education at these government schools.
Maj Gen KVS Lalotra, AVSM, YSM, SM (Retd), Sr. Advisor (DLF Education), DLF Foundation, said, "Our main objective is to improve the quality of education in selected 20 Govt schools in Noida by supporting the Principal and school team to bring improvement in scholastic and co-scholastic domains of education. Our interventions are targeted at upgrading academics standards and learning outcomes."
The second phase of this development will focus on upgrading the digital infrastructure of the schools to improve the quality of education and by setting up of digital classrooms and English language labs.
Brajesh Narayan Singh, District Magistrate of Noida, said, "This is a formidable first step taken to improve the standard of education in government schools in Noida. We realised that we would need the support of organisations like DLF Foundation who not only have the resources to help bring this change but are also willing to work towards it."
Rajeev Singh, Executive Director of DHDL, Mall of India, said, "DLF Foundation has undertaken works to improve the quality of education at these government schools. Revamping the infrastructure is the first step which is a prerequisite for schools to impart knowledge. We want these students to get an opportunity to flourish and contribute to the society which requires holistic development in all the areas including education, sports and extracurricular."
Kiran Bala, Principal of Government Model Primary School, Noida, said, "We are grateful to DLF Foundation for their support. We acknowledge the benefits provided by the Foundation in the up-gradation of education facilities in our school. We will ensure that all the facilities provided by DLF Foundation will be well taken care of by the teachers and students. We are committed to make our school a model school of Uttar Pradesh which others are able to emulate."
