Flipkart, the e-commerce site, which recently offered Big Billion Days sale for its customers during the festival is said to have set an outstanding record during the sale. And now reports suggest that to compete with Flipkart and in the hope of setting a record sale, Amazon is planning to open more sale events during Diwali.
Reports suggest that Amazon is going to held more sale events during the beginning of the next month as sequel of its Great Indian Festival, which ended last week, seeing the growing interest and active participation of the customers towards the sale.
Keeping the competition neck to neck, these two e-commerce sites are planning to keep their festive sale mood on among the customers by holding more sale events in future.
In an interview, Amit Agarwal, Chief, Amazon India said that the company will come up with multiple such sale events throughout the month similar to the one, which ended last month.
In the sale which took place in the beginning of October 2016, Flipkart's Big Billion Day sale is said to have topped the chart with maximum sold out products, outselling Amazon's The Great Indian Festival, generating gross sales of at least Rs. 3,000 crore within five days only.
As per reports, the Amazon people are going to take a relook at its pricing tactics for the upcoming sale events.
