- DKNY Jeans stores in India soon
In an effort to capitalise on the success of DKNY brand in India, DLF Brands Ltd, the leading fashion and lifestyle brand retailer announced the company’s agreement with Ong’s Club 21 Group, the international licensee for DKNY Jeans in the Indian market. Recently, DLF brands sealed a ten year franchise agreement with Christina Ong’s Club 21.
The brand has plans to set up exclusive outlets in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad. The first two DKNY Jeans stores will be launched in New Delhi in October 2009 at DLF Place, Saket and the DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj.
Confirming the agreement, Timmy Sarna, CEO, DLF Brands Ltd. said, “We are extremely happy to be associated with DKNY Jeans. Both the DKNY and DKNY Jeans brands are owned by Donna Karan International, Inc. and are sold in India under the license agreement with US based Christina Ong’s Club 21 which has a license to design, manufacture, retail and distribute DKNY Jeans in the international market including Asia, Europe and Middle East.
